Jane first came to yoga to improve circulation and flexibility and relieve every day back pain caused by a lifestyle of sitting with poor posture. After a while she noticed the breath connection helped her be present in the body, reducing anxiety, and in general helps with feeling more connected to others in the class as well as other people in her life. She still enjoys all these benefits of a yoga practice today and, after studying yoga philosophy, lives with conscious attention to following Patanjali's 8 Limbs of Yoga. She is inspired to bring the transformative powers of yogic philosophy and practice to others in a way that honors Yoga's history. Jane teaches Vinyasa style classes at Grace Yoga in Millbrae, and to high school students in the San Mateo area with RISE Yoga for Youth.
